Topic: H.R.5356 National Infrastructure Bank Act

Speakers: Congress, State, Local Officials, and Experts

Lunch will be provided

The Coalition for a National Infrastructure Bank, in conjunction with Congressman Danny Davis (D-Ill-7), is inviting Members and Staff to an important briefing on the National Infrastructure Bank Act (NIB) of 2025, H.R.5356. This bill has garnered extensive national support and has 60 Congressional Sponsors.

This briefing comes as the U.S. economy continues to fall. GDP is floundering around 2%, with some readings near zero. New job creation has been weak, with many months in negative territory. Inflation is escalating, and consumer sentiment is falling. The briefing intersects the current debate in Congress to reauthorize the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

H.R.5356 is a bold alternative. It will invest $5 trillion into the real, physical economy. It will REQUIRE NO NEW FEDERAL SPENDING OR FEDERAL TAXES! It will create millions of new, high-wage jobs! It has been used repeatedly in our nation’s history.

The NIB will complement whatever appropriations move through Congress. The historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is expiring now. With the federal budget deficit at $2 trillion per year, new discretionary spending is in jeopardy. The “Off-Budget” $5 trillion NIB will fill the gap.

H.R.5356 will invest in all areas of infrastructure. It will increase GDP to 5% per year, and make money for the government! What’s not to like?
